Principal’s Post November 2015

Dear HPCS Parent,

This coming Tuesday, November 3rd, is election day, and I wanted to remind you that school will not be meeting and no childcare will be provided.

Normally, Hampton Park is a polling place for the Leawood Precinct, but that will not be the case this year, as the only elections are for municipalities and special purpose districts. I do, however, want to encourage you to consider voting if you live in the Parker sewer and fire district (your voter registration card will indicate). If you live in the Parker district, an election for the Parker Sewer and Fire Commission will be held at Parker Fire Station #2 on Washington Ave. and #3 on State Park Road.

Last night at the PTF, I mistakenly referred to just one of our parent candidates and did not learn until after the meeting that we indeed have two HPCS parents running for the Parker Sewer and Fire Commission: Patrick Haddon and Mark Ells. So, we would encouarge you to evaluate each candidate and vote accordingly. Both these men and their families have been a huge blessing to our school, and I’m so thankful that they would be willing to serve our community in this way.

Kevin
