Dear HPCS Parent,
I want to take just a moment to encourage your participation in a couple of events this week. First is the basketball competition tonight against Bob Jones Academy. The JV Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys will be playing at Bob Jones starting at 4:15 with the JV team. The varsity teams will follow at approximately 5:30 (girls) and 6:45 (guys). Many away games are a bit too far for most of our families to attend, but since this one is so close to home, we’d love to see you come out and support the Panthers!
Second is American Heritage Day this Friday. We’d love as many parents as can make it to attend the program at 10:20 in the church auditorium and lunch afterward. This would be a great opportunity to eat a delicious meal with your children and meet some of their classmates. Reservations are needed for the meal, so please return the form you were sent to the office, so we can get an accurate count for planning purposes. Hope to see you there!
Finally, I wanted you to know that, with many tears, good byes were said to our Chinese exchange students this past Saturday, when they had to return to China. From all the feedback I’ve received so far, it seems that this experience accomplished some truly wonderful things in the lives of our students, their families, and in our faculty and staff. Not only did this impact our Chinese guests in a powerful way, it did the same for us. I’ll have more to share on this valuable experience in the days ahead after I’ve gathered additional feedback, but we’re very hopeful that we’ll continue the program in the future. So be thinking about whether or not you’d like to host for us in the future!
Have a great day,
