Upcoming Events

Book Fair

The Hampton Park Fall Book Fair is Tuesday, October 25 – Friday, October 28 in the school library. The fair is open each day from 8:30 – 4:00, and for 30 minutes before and after the Parent/Teacher Fellowship. We are partnering with Life Way Christian Bookstore and Usborne books and will have a wide range of books to interest both Upper and Lower School students and their parents. Remember that books make wonderful birthday and Christmas gifts for students and teachers!

Parent/Teacher Fellowship – October 27, at 7 p.m. in the Miller Activities Center

  • All parents are encouraged to attend!
  • The Lower School band will give a short band concert and Dr. Priest will share some important updates.
  • Child care for K4-6th graders will be provided by the Senior Class and they will accept tips to help raise funds for their senior trip. Please rsvp to jamimurr@hamptonpark.org if you plan to bring children for child care.
  • The Library will be open 30 minutes before and after the PTF for the Book Fair.

Parent/Teacher Conferences – October 20-21

Conferences will be held on October 20 (Lower School) and 21 (Lower and Upper School).

  • No school or child care for K4 or K5 on both days
  • Lower School will dismiss at 11:30 on both days
  • Upper School will dismiss at 11:30 on Friday only

Senior Carnival – Friday, October 21

Senior Carnival is Friday, October 21, from 11:30 – 2:00.

    • Purchase pizza lunch tickets ($4) and game tickets ($2) from your child’s teacher or at the office. Tickets for parents and/or siblings may be purchased from the teacher, as well.
    • Lower school students will need to have adult supervision at the Carnival or they may stay for late stay and be charged accordingly.
  • Since the pizza lunch is prepared by the seniors, lunch may not be charged to accounts.
  • Please purchase your lunch tickets by Wednesday, October 19.

 

Upper School Dress for Friday, October 21

Due to the half day of school and Senior Carnival, on Friday, October 21, Upper School students may wear jeans.

Harvest Happening – October 22

Hampton Park Baptist Church invites all HPCS families to Harvest Happening. This is a free family event that we are hosting on Saturday, October 22, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. We’ll have arts and crafts, face painting, hay rides, carnival games, bounce houses, touch-a-truck and more! The Senior class will be selling Chick Fil-a sandwiches to raise funds for their senior trip and a food truck will be available if you’d like to purchase dinner. If you plan to come, please register online so we can adequately prepare.

Bible Sword Drill Run-off

Bible Sword Drill Run-off will be held in the Collins Auditorium on Friday, October 28, at 1:30 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend.

Thanksgiving/Christmas Project

We are partnering with Samaritan’s Purse again this year to collect items for Operation Christmas Child. Details went home with Lower School students today. Each class will be handling their collection, so please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions. All items need to be collected and turned in by November 9.

Panthers in Action

Basketball

Basketball season is around the corner! Practices begin on Monday, October 31. Students must have a current sports physical on file (they are good for one calendar year) in order to try out for or participate in a sport. Forms are available on RenWeb under Resource Documents and in the office.

Ingles Tools for Schools

The Ingles Tools for Schools card must be linked to Hampton Park every year in order for the portion of sales to be designated for Hampton Park. If you have not yet done this, you may link your card online here or by turning in the Ingles form to the office.
