Dear HPCS Parent,
I wanted to take just a moment to give you some reminders and a couple of shout outs.
First, Walk-a-thon pledge sheets and money are due tomorrow (5/3/2017). Please be sure to collect donations from all your sponsors, note them on the pledge sheet, and bring those to your students’ teachers tomorrow. The Walk-a-thon awards ceremony is this Monday, when we’ll announce the winners of the iPads and Kindles. We’re VERY excited to see how much we’ve raised and whether we’ve met our goal. Once we get all the funds collected, I’ll share with you what we raised for the year and exactly what we plan to purchase with the funds to increase our “STEAM Power” here at HPCS!
Second, International Star Wars Day is this Thursday, May 4th. We’ve made a tradition at HP of dressing up in Star Wars attire for the day, and it’s been a lot of fun. It’s the day I get to pull out my Jedi costume and feel like a kid again! 🙂 I don’t want you to feel any pressure with this event, but have fun with it with your kids if you’d like.
Finally, I wanted to congratulate our varsity girls’ soccer team for their performance in the state tournament this past weekend. They came in 2nd in the state, and I’m incredibly proud of them! The middle school girls’ team plays today for a spot in their tournament later in the week. And the baseball team travels down state on Friday to participate in the state tournament. They’ve done a great job this year, and we look forward to them representing HPCS this weekend.
Have a great day!
