Micah Thompson is our new Social Studies teacher. Welcome, Mr. Thompson!
I was raised as one of 7 kids on the beautiful island of Guam in the South Pacific. I had two great parents who raised me to love the Lord. I went off to college at Northland International University where I felt God calling me to teach thanks to the influence of my parents and some incredible teachers I had at school.
After graduating from Northland and getting my masters degree at BJU, I was married to my beautiful wife Cassie and taught history and speech at Artios Academies for two years. I’m super excited to be starting at Hampton Park and can’t wait to get to meet and work with the students. I love the emphasis on discipleship and personal growth that HPCS has and look forward to helping my students grow in both knowledge and spirit.
When I’m not teaching I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my wife, and doing theater. The last two years I’ve been working with a small, local troupe called the Misfit Theater Company and we’re currently gearing up for an original, comedy musical called Pies and Prejudice. I can’t wait to get started with my first year at Hampton Park and meet the great students, staff and parents I’ll have the privilege to work with!
