Welcome, Mrs. Bennett!

Tami Bennett is our new Child Care Director. Welcome, Mrs. Bennett!

I’m excited for this opportunity to speak into the kids’ lives on a daily basis about Jesus’ love and the big picture of the Gospel in our world, from history to the present. I graduated from college in 1994 with an elementary education degree and, in 2015, earned a certified nursing assistant degree. Over the past 25 years, I have worked with children in various capacities. I’ve served in my church in the infant and toddler nurseries, as a Sunday school teacher for 4-year olds, and as the AWANA Cubbies secretary. I’ve worked as a teacher, a substitute teacher, and an assistant librarian in a school. Most recently, I’ve been working at Greenville Children’s Hospital as the USII Unit Cordinator, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Patient Care Technician in the Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology units.

My husband, Jim, and I parent four of our own kids: Tori (20), Jamie (18), Haley (16), and Anthony (12). Tori attends USC-Columbia and will be graduating this school year with degrees in International Studies and Spanish; she works as an RM and an international programs liaison. Jamie will be a Freshman this year at Greenville Tech, working toward earning a surgical technician degree; she nannies for a local family in her free time. Haley is a Junior in high school and works at Port City Java downtown on evenings and weekends. Anthony is in 7th grade this year and enjoys playing seasonal team sports. Jim works at Clemson University as the Director of International Programs and Global Education Initiatives.  As a family, we enjoy staying active together. We love to go the local YMCA or enjoy the outdoors at various parks and events in the area.  We have a passion for connecting in our community through various volunteer opportunities and looking for opportunities to show Christ’s love and share the joy of a relationship with Him.

In my spare time, I enjoy going out to coffee or restaurants with friends/family. I also appreciate relaxing with a good puzzle–puzzles of all sorts are great! I also love cutting hair for friends/family when time allows.

I look forward to getting to know my new family at Hampton Park and am excited to see what this year will hold!
