Upcoming Events

Lower School Soccer Camp – Grades 3-6

Don’t miss out on Soccer Camp! The senior members of the varsity soccer teams will host a soccer camp for the students in grades 3-6. The camp will be an opportunity for the students to learn new soccer skills as they work with the players and coaches. Camp is held on the field (meet in the lobby of the gym) on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, November 6, 8, and 9, from 3:15-5:00 p.m. The cost is $20 and includes a pizza party on Thursday and refreshments on the other days. Registration is due by Wednesday, November 1.

Usborne Online Book Fair

Hampton Park is hosting an Usborne Online Book Fair. To take a look at what is available, go to www.frontdoorbookstore.com, click on “shop” and select “Hampton Park.” The deadline for ordering is Friday, November 3.

Election Day

There is no school or child care on Tuesday, November 7.

Speech Runoffs – Grades 2-6

The speech information letter for students in grades 2-6 needs to be filled out and returned by November 9.

Veteran’s Day Program

The Veteran’s Day Program will be held at the flagpole at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 9. Please make a note of this change of location.

Thanksgiving Program and Lunch

Please plan to be a part of our Lower School Thanksgiving Program on Friday, November 17, in the Main Auditorium. The Lunch will follow the program and reservations are required by Wednesday, November 15. The lunch will be served in the MAC (A Building), and the feast will include turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. The cost for the lunch is $6.00 for students in 3rd grade through adults, $4.75 for students in K4 through 2nd grade, and children age three and under are free with an adult purchase. Lunch reservations are required by Wednesday, November 15.

Thanksgiving Project – Miracle Hill Children’s Home

This Thanksgiving season the Lower School students will be collecting household items and non-perishable staples for a local ministry that serves many precious children in the upstate – the Miracle Hill Children’s Home. The list of needs was sent home with students. Items should be taken to your child’s classroom by Friday, November 17.

Lunchroom – Dessert Contest

Do you have a favorite dessert? Enter the lunchroom dessert contest! Please email your dessert recipe to juliemacmillan@hamptonpark.org. Desserts will be judged on flavor, simplicity, and cost. Please, no nuts and only one entry per person! Only emailed recipes will be considered and must be received by November 30. The dessert will be named after the winner, and the winner will receive a free lunch every time the dessert is served.

Basketball Try-Outs

Try-outs for all basketball teams will take place the week of October 30-November 3 as follows:

  • MS Girls – Monday-Thursday – 3:30-5:15 p.m.
  • MS Boys – Monday-Friday – 3:30-5:15 p.m.
  • Varsity Girls – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – 5:15-7:30 p.m.
  • JV/Varsity Boys – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – 5:15-7:30 p.m.
