Upcoming Events

Speech Runoffs – Grades 2-6

The speech information letter for students in grades 2-6 needs to be filled out and returned by November 9.

Chick fil-A Chicken Biscuits Sale

The senior class will be selling Chick fil-A chicken biscuits on THURSDAY, November 9, from 7:30-8:15 a.m. at the regular drop-off locations on campus. The biscuits sell for $3.00 each and all proceeds go toward the senior trip.

Veterans Day Program – Thursday, November 9

The Veterans Day Program will be held at the flagpole at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 9. All are welcome!

SCACS Art – Extra Help and Ideas

For students who are interested in participating in SCACS Fine Arts, Mrs. Panosian will be available after school on November 13, 14, 16, and 17, from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in her classroom, B-202. Students are welcome to work the entire hour or simply go to get ideas.

Thanksgiving Program and Lunch – Friday, November 17

You are invited to attend our Lower School Thanksgiving Program on Friday, November 17, at 10:00 a.m., in the Main Auditorium. The Lunch will follow the program and reservations are required by Wednesday, November 15. The lunch will be served in the MAC (A Building), and the feast will include turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. The cost for the lunch is $6.00 for students in 3rd grade through adults, $4.75 for students in K4 through 2nd grade, and children age three and under are free with an adult purchase. Lunch reservations are required by Wednesday, November 15. The dining schedule is as follows:

  • K4/K5 – 10:55
  • 1st – 11:00
  • 2nd – 11:10
  • 3rd – 11:20
  • 4th – 12:00
  • 5th – 12:10
  • 6th – 12:30
  • 7-12th – 12:50

Thanksgiving Project – Miracle Hill Children’s Home

This Thanksgiving season the Lower School students will be collecting household items and non-perishable staples for a local ministry that serves many precious children in the upstate – the Miracle Hill Children’s Home. The list of needs was sent home with students. Items should be taken to your child’s classroom by Friday, November 17.

Lower School Spelling Bees – Tuesday, November 21

Parents are invited to attend the Lower School Spelling Bees in the Collins Auditorium (C Building) on Tuesday, November 21. The quizzing will begin at 9:00 a.m. for students in grades 2-3 and 1:30 p.m. for grades 4-6. Guests should enter the Collins Building through the side door facing the Brown Building and playground.

Lost and Found

Please visit Lost and Found regularly to claim items that belong to your children. Lost and Found is located in the MAC (A Building) through the doors to the left of the fireplace. The last day to look through the current Lost and Found items is Friday, December 1.

Please label all of your belongings to simplify the process. As a note, school uniforms and HP branded items are NEVER donated to charity and will be used as a way for the Senior class to raise money for their senior trip.

Lunchroom – Dessert Contest

Do you have a favorite dessert? Enter the lunchroom dessert contest! Please email your dessert recipe to juliemacmillan@hamptonpark.org. Desserts will be judged on flavor, simplicity, and cost. Please, no nuts and only one entry per person! Only emailed recipes will be considered and must be received by November 30. The dessert will be named after the winner, and the winner will receive a free lunch every time the dessert is served.

Haywood Mall Christmas Tree Lighting

The 4th grade classes will be singing at the Christmas Tree Lighting at Haywood Mall on Friday, December 1, at 4:00 p.m.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Bob Jones University

Hampton Park’s Upper School Concert Choir will be singing at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Bob Jones University on Friday, December 1. The choir will be performing a 20-minute carol sing beginning at 6:00 p.m. prior to the Tree Lighting Ceremony which begins at 6:30 p.m. Community activities and music will be taking place on the campus prior to the ceremony and all are invited to attend.

SCACS Fine Arts Registrations

Registrations have begun for South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) Fine Arts in the categories of music, art and academic testing:

  • Art – All students (grades 1-12) planning to participate in art should register on the paper form that was sent home. The form can be found on RenWeb under Resource Documents. Choose “Lower School Art” or “Upper School Art.” Complete and return the form by December 5.
  • Music – All students (grades 1-12) planning to participate in music should register at http://hpcsonline.org/fine-arts/registrations/ and click on the “music registration form” to begin the online registration. Registrations will close on December 5. Students in grades 4-6 who are participating in vocal solo must register by November 15.
  • Academic Testing –Upper School students should register http://hpcsonline.org/fine-arts/registrations/ and click on “Upper School Academic Testing” to begin the online registration. Registrations will close on December 5. Lower School students do not need to register as their teachers will select them.

Panthers in Action

Panther Passes

Panther Passes are FREE for parents and grandparents and gives access for all regular-season home basketball games. Lower School students will receive Panther Passes in their folders this week, and additional passes are available in the office. Pick up your Panther Pass today!

Season Passes – New This Year

Season Passes are available to those who attend several games a year, but who do not qualify for a Panther Pass (friends, other family members, alumni). Season passes are available for $10 for an individual and $15 for a family (immediate household only) and may be purchased in the office or at home games. The Season Pass will provide access to all regular-season home basketball games.
