Library Used Book Sale

Keep sending in your books for the Library Used Book Sale! The sale will be held in the Library on May 7-11.

 

Achievement Testing

Achievement Testing continues throughout this week for students in grades K5-12.

 

Greenville Special Olympics – Wednesday, April 18

Students in grades 9-12 will be serving in our community on Wednesday, April 18, at the Greenville Special Olympics Track and Field events. The events take place at Furman University. The bus will leave campus at 9:00 a.m. and return to campus before regular school dismissal. The permission form is on RenWeb under WebForms.

 

Early Dismissal – Friday, April 20

All classes will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 20. Hourly child care will be available until 5:30 p.m. Students staying for child care must bring their own lunches. Microwaves will not be available.

 

Used Uniform Sale

Plan to shop at the Lost and Found Uniform Sale in the Reference Room (M-118) at the times listed below. Every item will be $1!

 

  • Monday, April 23, 2:30-4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 24, 8:30-9:15 a.m.
  • Tuesday, April 24, 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Spring Concert – Thursday, April 26, 7:00 p.m.

Please join us for the Upper School Spring Concert featuring many of the students who competed at the SCACS Fine Arts Festival and will compete at the AACS National Fine Arts Festival. Additionally, students who competed in art will have their art displayed in the lobby at the concert. The concert is Thursday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m., in the Main Auditorium. All school families are invited to attend.

Drama Auditions

Drama Auditions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 8-9, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Collins Auditorium. Students in grades 8-11 who are interested in speaking parts or working on the stage crew should plan to attend one of the auditions. Students may drop by anytime between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.

Outdoor Band Concert

The Outdoor Band Concert is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the Main Building Portico. The fifth and sixth grade band will start off the concert and it will continue at noon with the junior high and high school band.

 

Sports Banquet

If your child participated in a sport in the 2017-2018 school year, please mark your calendar for Friday, May 18, to attend the Sports Banquet. You won’t want to miss this memorable night! Details will be coming out soon.

 

Panthers in Action

JV/Varsity Girls Volleyball Spring Training

Girls in grades 8-11 who are interested in trying out for JV or Varsity Girls Volleyball should attend the Spring Training on all of the following days:

  • May 7, 8, 10, and 11 – 3:20-5:15 p.m.

MS Girls Volleyball Tryouts

The Middle School Girls Volleyball tryouts for girls in grades 5-7 will be held on the following days:

  • Tuesday, May 15 – 3:30-5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 16 – 3:30-5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 17 – 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Cross Country Tryouts

Students in grades 5-11 who are interested in trying out for Cross Country should plan to attend one of the four tryout dates:

  • Monday, May 14 – 3:30-4:15 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 15 – 3:30-4:15 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 16 – 3:30-4:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 17 – 3:30-4:15 p.m.

Parents who would like to learn more about Cross Country should go to the Cross Country Interest Meeting on Wednesday, May 2, from 3:30-4:00 p.m., in M-209.

2018 Summer Sports Camps

Register by May 20 to receive a discount to Hampton Park’s Soccer Camp (June 18-21) and Basketball Camp (July 16-19) for students going into grades 1-12.
