Lower School Author Visit

Amy Sullivan, author of the Gutsy Girls series about strong Christian women who impacted history, will be visiting our school on Wednesday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins Auditorium. Parents are welcome.

Lower School Sword Drill

Parents are invited to attend the Lower School Sword Drill for students in grades 4-6 to be held in the Collins Auditorium on Friday, November 9, at 1:30 p.m. Guests do not need to sign in and may enter the Collins Building through the side door facing the Brown Building and playground.

Lower School Thanksgiving Project – Miracle Hill Collection

This year, for the Thanksgiving Project, our Lower School classes will be collecting money to purchase large foil pans for Miracle Hill’s upcoming turkey dinner event. Students can bring in money (cash is preferable, checks should be made out to HPCS) on Wednesday, November 7, to Friday, November 9. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 600 pans for Miracle Hill. Which grade level can raise the most money? The results will be announced on Monday, November 12, in the MAC during lunchtime.

Lower School Speech Runoffs

Speech Runoffs will be held on November 13 for students in grades 2-6 who are interested in participating in SCACS in a speech category. The intent form should be returned to your child’s teacher by Thursday, November 8.

Chick fil-A Chicken Biscuits Sale

The senior class will be selling Chick fil-A chicken biscuits on Tuesday, November 13, from 7:30–8:20 a.m., at the regular drop-off locations on campus. The biscuits sell for $3.00 each and all proceeds go toward the senior trip.

Thanksgiving Program and Lunch

The Thanksgiving Program and Lunch is scheduled for Friday, November 16. The Program will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Auditorium and will be followed by the Special Thanksgiving Lunch in the MAC. If you or your child are planning to purchase the lunch, please return the completed forms to your child’s teacher by November 14. Additional forms are in the school office.

Lower School Spelling Bees

Parents are invited to attend the Lower School Spelling Bees in the Collins Auditorium (C Building) on Tuesday, November 20. The quizzing will begin at 9:00 a.m. for students in grades 2-3 and 1:30 p.m. for grades 4-6. Guests should enter the Collins Building through the side door facing the Brown Building and playground.

Thanksgiving Break

In observance of Thanksgiving, there will be no school or child care on Wednesday, November 21-Friday, November 23.

Lost and Found

Please visit Lost and Found regularly to claim items that belong to your children. Lost and Found is located in the MAC (A Building) through the doors to the left of the fireplace. The last day to look through current Lost and Found items in Friday, November 30.

Please label all of your belongings to simplify the process. As a note, school uniforms and HP branded items are never donated to charity and are used as a way for the senior class to raise money for their senior trip.

Registrations have begun for South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) Fine Arts in the categories of music, art, and academic testing:

Panthers in Action

Panther Passes

Panther Passes are FREE for parents and grandparents and gives access for all regular-season home basketball games. Lower School students will receive Panther Passes in their folders next week, and additional passes are available in the office. Pick up your Panther Pass today!

Season Passes

Season Passes are available to those who attend several games a year, but do not qualify for a Panther Pass (friends, other family members, alumni). Season passes are available for $10 for an individual and $15 for a family (immediate household only) and may be purchased in the office or at home games. The Season Pass will provide access to all regular-season home basketball games.

Credit/Debit Card Purchases at Games

New this year, credit and debit cards will be accepted at concessions.
