Upcoming Events

Science Fair

Parents are invited to attend Hampton Park’s first Science Fair on Tuesday, March 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the MAC (A Building). Students in grades 3, 5, and 7, will be participating in the fair with all of the work taking place in the classroom. Please enter through the either set of doors closest to the playground.

Field Day

Mrs. Sinde, our Lower School PE teacher, has planned some exciting changes for Hampton Park’s Field Day which will be held on Wednesday, April 10. Grades 1-3 will participate from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and grades 4-6 will participate from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Information sheets are going home with students today. Students need to select their chosen activities on the form and return it to teachers by Friday, March 29. Please make a note of the following:

  • Field Day is a regular school day. Regular classes will take place opposite field day activities.
  • On the day of the event, there will be no parking in the lower parking lot next to the playground.
  • Students should plan to wear comfortable clothing – class shirts, modest athletic shorts or pants, and tennis shoes.
  • Students should bring water bottles that are clearly marked.
  • The rain date is Thursday, April 11.

Lost and Found

Please take time to drop by the MAC (A Building) to claim items belonging to your family. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity after Friday, March 29.

Achievement Testing

Achievement Testing will take place the week of April 1-5 for students in grades K5-12.

Early Dismissal – April 5

On Friday, April 5, students in grades 1-12 will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. K4 and K5 will have a regular schedule.

Junior-Senior Banquet

The Junior-Senior Banquet will be held on Friday, April 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the MAC (A Building).

Spring Break

Spring Break is Monday, April 15, through Monday, April 22. There will be no school or child care on these days.

Walk-a-thon – Save the Date!

Please mark your calendars for our Walk-a-thon on May 7. The Lower School will be walking in the morning before the Outdoor Band Concert, and the Upper School will be walking in the afternoon. Details will be available soon.

Outdoor Band Concert

The Outdoor Band Concert will be held in the Portico on May 7.

Drama Production Tryouts

Students in grades 8-11 who are interested in trying out for the 2019-2020 drama production, please mark your calendars and watch for details for the May tryouts. The tryouts will include speaking parts and technical roles.

Varsity Soccer/Basketball Off-Season Training

For boys in grades 8-11 who are interested in off-season training, Coach Lehman and Coach Edwards are offering sessions through the end of the school year. This off-season training is not required, considered optional, and should not come before previously scheduled commitments. If you are free and it works for your schedule, please come.

  • Varsity Soccer – Wednesdays, 3:30-4:45 p.m., through May 15, on the field unless the weather moves it to the gym. Watch the groupme app for changes to the schedule.
  • Varsity Basketball – Thursdays, 3:15-4:30 p.m., through April 25. Watch the groupme app for changes to the schedule.

JV/Varsity Volleyball Spring Training

The JV/Varsity Volleyball Spring Training will be held on April 30, May 2, and May 3, from 3:25-5:30 p.m. in the gym.

Cross Country Tryouts

Students in grades 5-11 who are interested in trying out for Cross Country should attend the tryouts on Monday through Wednesday, May 6-8, from 3:30-4:15 p.m. Students should meet Coach Cansler in front of the gymnasium and bring a bottle of water. A student only needs to attend tryouts until he or she runs a 9-minute mile.

MS Girls Volleyball Tryouts

Girls in grades 5-7 who are interested in trying out for volleyball for the 2019-2020 school year should attend the tryouts on Thursday, May 9, Tuesday, May 14, and Thursday, May 16. Tryouts will take place in the gym from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Pre-Participation Athletic Forms

Students interested in trying out for any of the sports mentioned above must have an up-to-date Pre-Participation Athletic Form (Part 1 and 2) on file in the office. The forms are located on ParentsWeb under Resource Documents. Please contact the office if you have questions.

SCACS High School Fine Arts Festival Results

Congratulations to the Upper School students who competed at the SCACS High School Fine Arts Festival in academic testing, art, music and speech categories. 2019 SC Scholastic Chess Championship

On March 9, our Chess Club took 3rd place out of 8 schools in the K-8th division. Bradon Schley tied for 3rd place in this division and was the 8th grade champion. Our team took 3rd place out of 13 schools in the K-5th division. Tessa Bonnema tied for top female in this division. Ella Schley tied for 10th. Congratulations to our Chess Club!

Re-enrollment

To re-enroll, go to ParentsWeb and select “Enroll/Re-enroll” and then follow the prompts. Re-enrollment will need to be completed on a computer and not through the app.

2018 Child Care Statement

If you need a copy of your 2018 Child Care Statement for tax purposes, parents may print a payment summary. While in FACTS, choose “view payment summary,” select the year, and print from the icon at the top right of the screen. The printed transaction detail will include the HP logo, address and tax ID number.
