Upcoming Events

Thanksgiving Program and Lunch

The Thanksgiving Program (Grades K5-6th) and Lunch is scheduled for Thursday, November 21. The Program will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Auditorium and will be followed by the special Thanksgiving Lunch. Today is the last day to order the lunch. To order, go through your FACTS Family Portal (ParentsWeb) as follows:

  • Select “Student”
  • Click on “Lunch”
  • Click on pulldown menu for Date and choose 11/21/2019
  • Click on “+Create Web Order”
  • Enter quantity
    • If ordering for guests who are not HP students, enter total number of lunches in the correct age group under the student’s name that the guests will be eating lunch with.
    • Free lunches for children 3 and below may only be ordered when ordering an adult lunch (1 free lunch per 1 adult lunch)
  • When order is complete, click on “Order Items”
  • When student and/or guests attend the lunch, the Food Service workers will confirm the reservation.

The dining schedule for the Thanksgiving Lunch is as follows:

Since it is a full day of school, students will return to class with their teachers after lunch.

The Prince and the Pauper by Anne Coulter Martens

Ticket sales for the Panther Players’ presentation of The Prince and the Pauper by Anne Coulter Martens begin on Wednesday, November 20. This play, adapted from the book by Mark Twain, is appropriate for all ages.

  • The tickets will be sold before (8:00-8:30 a.m.) and after (3:15-3:40 p.m.) school in the Main Building (M Building) by the offices.
  • The performances will be held on Thursday, December 5, and Friday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m.
  • Ticket prices are $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for non-HPCS students, and $3.00 for HPCS students. You may pay by cash or check (payable to HPCS).

Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuits

Mark your calendars for the upcoming dates that the senior class will be selling Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits: November 26 and December 10. The biscuits are $3.00 each and will be sold at all of the regular drop-off locations on campus from 7:30-8:20 a.m.

Chinese Exchange Students

Families are still needed to help host the Chinese exchange students between January 13 and February 12. If you are interested in hosting or have questions about this special opportunity, please email Dr. Priest at kevinpriest@hamptonpark.org.

Thanksgiving Break

There will be no school or child care on November 27-29 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Christmas Programs

Our Christmas Programs will be held on December 10 (Grades 3-6), December 12 (Upper School), and December 17 (Grades K5-2). Programs begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Auditorium and doors open at 6:30 p.m. A nursery is provided for both Lower School Christmas programs for children ages 3 and under.

Parking Lot Safety

Due to safety and liability concerns, parents with young children who are waiting in the upper parking lot to pick up older children after school, please avoid allowing your children to climb trees in the parking lot or play among the parked cars.

Lower School Spelling Bees

The Lower School Spelling Bees will be held in the Collins Auditorium (C Building) on Tuesday, November 26. The quizzing will begin at 9:00 a.m. for the students in grades 2-3 and 1:30 p.m. for grades 4-6. Guests do not need to sign in at the office and should enter the Collins Building through the side door facing the Brown Building and playground.

After School-Home Games-Late Stay

Please remember that students in 6th grade and below must either attend late stay after school or be picked up by a parent in order to attend a home game. Students must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult at the games.

Upper School Only

Lands’ End Starboard Scholarship

This deadline is quickly approaching, so students should apply now! Students in grades 6-12 who display exceptional leadership skills are eligible to receive the $10,000 Lands’ End Starboard Scholarship. Up to seven scholarships will be awarded to students who are in a Preferred School, like Hampton Park. Don’t wait to apply for this special scholarship! Panthers in Action

Panther Passes

Panther Passes are FREE for parents and grandparents and gives access for all regular-season home basketball games. Lower School students will receive Panther Passes in their folders today and additional passes are available in the office.

Season Passes

Season passes are available to those who attend several games a year, but do not qualify for a Panther Pass (friends, other family members, alumni). Season passes are available for $10 for an individual and $15 for a family (immediate household only) and may be purchased in the office or at home games. The Season Pass will provide access to all regular-season home basketball games.


Come out to our home basketball games to support our teams, and buy concessions to support our seniors! The concession stand sells soft drinks and candy, pretzels and ice cream, nachos and funnel cakes, hot dogs and grilled cheese, and more! Prices vary from $1-$3 (value meals at $5) and they take cash or cards.

Varsity Girls Soccer Off-Season Training

Girls in grades 9-12 who are interested in trying out for spring soccer are invited to attend the off-season training. The first training date is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., in the gym. Upcoming dates in December for off-season training are December 4 and 18, from 3:35-4:45 p.m., in the gym.

Basketball Team GroupMe App

If your child is a student on a basketball team, use this link to enter the GroupMe team chats. Parents can download the “GroupMe” App and sign up for each of your child’s teams. This is a great way to communicate with the coach, see up-to-date information about game time changes, find out what time a team will return to HPCS from an away game, and more.

Sickness Policy

As we enter the season of increased sickness, please be reminded to keep sick students home from school until symptom-free from the stomach bug and fever-free for 24 hours.

Volunteer Spotlight – Classroom Helper

Many of you have probably helped out in your child’s classroom, painting Indian costumes, building gingerbread houses, constructing valentine’s boxes, and more. Thank you for your help! Our teachers are thankful for our willing and generous parents who step in and help when needed!
